Officiant Fees

Hi Girls! FH and I met with the cantor( similar to a rabbi) that bar mitzvahed him to see if he would be able to do the wedding. He would with no problem which was what I had expected. But his fee for the wedding was $600 plus another $50 if he needed to fill out the ketubah for us. I was just curious if this fee was reasonable. How much are you girls spending?

I know this is a very important part of the wedding, but I was a bit blown away by the fee. My MOH said she paid her rabbi $900. I am already paying my RH $500 for having the ceremony there. I just wasn't expecting the actual ceremony portion of the wedding..

We're paying $500 to a minister. I've heard that the celebrants/officiants on the internet can be around $650-750. So I'm ok with the 500...plus the religious counseling is included.

Not sure bout officiant and rabbi fees but I am getting married in a Catholic Church n they charge a $600 'donation'.. I was looking into another church b4 this which was $500 so I think that your price is reasonable.
