Does anyone know how much an officiant is? I am looking to do a rev. or a judge for next summer. Also, if you have any reccomendations please let me know!

we used our Town CLerk from the marriage license office & it only cost $75...we had DH's sister perform the majority of the ceremony & the clerk there to make it legal...but it still would've been the same charge if she did the whole thing.

You are able to have someone else do the ceremony as long as someone else can legalize it???

We used Pastor Bill Britton and he was AWESOME! Really personalized our ceremony!

According to our town's marriage license office, yes...we had SIL get ordained on-line to do the whole thing...but when we went for our marriage license we realized the place she used was not recognized as 'legal' by our town...SIL did the majority of the ceremony and we read our own vows...then town clerk had us do our rings and the part necessary to make NYS happy...then SIL finished it up...
