Officiant Help

Officiant Help

I've called two officiants (Pastor April and Judge Corbett) to get some information from them and to try and get an idea of how they go about planning a ceremony. FH andI are still a bit unsure of how we'd like to go about the ceremony (a lot of different religious backgrounds etc. in our families). Both of them were very nice. Judge Corbett said he would send a sample ceremony to us. Pastor April preferred to meet with us first. My question is, do they both assume that we're definitely going to use them? If it were any other vendor I would let them know that this was preliminary info so that I could then make a decision but it felt wrong to tell an officiant that they've 'got competition'. Should I have somehow added that they were not necessarily our 'final decision'?

Sorry ladies, I babble when I'm confused. Any thoughts?

I would gp with pastor april or Rev Deb, judge corbet rubbed me the wrong way when he called my number and left a message for another bride and the price he would charge her for the ceremony!!!! Then when he finally called me back he kept screwing up my date and location. He seemed unorganized and very expensive.

Oh geez, that's definitely not something I'd want to deal with. Thanks for the info!

Re: Officiant Help

When I was looking for officiants, a few kept emailing and calling me asking if I was still interested. I would think they would understand that people shop around for officiants just like any other vendor, it's not like picking a church that you belong to or want to belong to.
I booked Rev Laura Tria. I got her info from someone at work who gave her rave reviews.

Do you need someone Catholic? Father David Grainson is a friend of mine, I highly recommend him. Many girls have used him! The sweetest person ever. FM me and I can give you my info!
