Officiant Help

Hi all!! This is my first post :)

Today my fh and I found out that the person we thought would officiate the wedding cannot. We are an interfaith couple, but not really looking for anything religious in the ceremony.

Any help/reviews/suggestions will be soooo greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Re: Officiant Help

Pastor April all the way! I think she's $375 if you use wording that she's already created before and provide her with what you want to be said (you can do your own vows), and I think $475 otherwise. Not sure if these have changed since a few weeks back.

Re: Officiant Help

So based on your responses, I called the pastor. Boy was I surprised. I asked if there was any negotiation with the price and the response I got was kinda shocking. It wasn't the fact that she said no - it was how it was said. I'm not looking for anything for free, and I know everyone's time is valuable, but there's a polite way to say something. Sorry - I'm just really frustrated! I hadnt expected to pay anything for an officiant (a family friend was supposed to do it), and now that I have to add that to my already over the limit budget, I'm trying to do it for the best price. All i did was politely ask a question. Hmph.

I have since moved on to Rev Nick. ANybody have feedback on him?

Thanks all.

hmm i'm surprised about Pastor April - i've met her (not for the wedding) and she was very nice!

Anyway, you could try Rev Deb ...

ps: i'm not sure waht you're hoping to pay, but i think the average officiant costs about $500 (give or take). just htought i'd mention it

you could always get that friend ordained if you really want him to marry you guys ... i'm not sure what it costs, but i think it's pretty affordable

Thanks, maybe I caught her on an off day? And yeah - from what I've seen it's about 500. Guess it is what it is lol. Had hoped it might be lower, even by a tad, but ohhh wellll.
