Hey girls, what's the cheapest you've found an officiant for and are you planning to invite them to the event?

We are paying $400. I saw one for $375-that was the cheapest. We are not inviting him to the reception. I don't know him personally so I thought it would be awkward. Do most people invite the minister even if they don't know them?

ladies can you share where you've been looking into.... i'm completely lost and have no clue where to even start when looking for an officiant.

Ours was $475. We invited her to stay for the reception if she wanted but it was just to be courteous. Luckily, we didn't have to pay for her since she only grabbed a few bites at the CH and then moved on!

We paid $450 I think. It really is such a rip-off for little work.
Ours was annoyed because I forgot to bring an envelope for him to return the signed marriage license back to the town. Ummm....dude, it was my wedding day, sorry I forgot your envelope. For $450, I think you can find another envelope.
We didn't ask him to stay for the wedding and he bolted as soon as the ceremony ended.

$275 is a great price. We are paying $375 and are using Pastor April.

I found someone for $200. The only issue is I posted about her here and noone responded. There are two positive reviews on wedding wire but that´s all I found on the net. I´m overseas so I can´t meet with her in person. If you guys are willing to meet with her let me know. Not only could you get a great deal but it would also be a great help for me to get other peoples opinions. FM if you´re willing to try it out. I´ll get her info together.
