Officiant Price

I found an officiant that I like. I am not sure what the going rate for this is. THey told me it would be $475. Is that a good price? I need something to compare it to.

MIne is $450 normally, but we wanted him to include some details about us, so it's $500 I think. I found that the average was $400 or so. We really liked ours so we felt ok with the extra money. It can go up to $600 or so!

i think that anything around 500 is about the going rate these days

I think it's good and fair. We are paying $400 but were quoted $600 by most.

I've seen between $450 & $600, but they can add on things for premarital classes, 'mandatory' rehearsals, etc.

That sounds about right -- we don't pay our officiant directly, but we make a charitable contribution to the temple for $500. I like this idea because then it is tax deductible!
