I have decided to have my ceremony at my catering hall. Does anyone know if there is a way for the marriage to be recognized by the roman-catholic church even if we are not getting married in a church? (we are both Catholic but ths just work better for us)
We are doing the same thing. I am working with Fr. Tom McCormick who is doing our ceremony and he said that after the wedding you can go to your church and get the married convaliduated so that the church recongnises it. He said its a simple process, filling out paperwork and the priest preforming the vows in church (with a donation of course). We are doing this when we get back from the honey or about a month after the wedding.
