THANK you so much! Do you also tip him as well??
I look at it this way, we would have been spending a lot to get married in a church, so hopefully this all works out

Re: Officiants?
Ours was WAY too expensive ($750) but everyone I called for that day was the same price so I just had to $uck it up and pay it (most of my vendors that I booked late, I got a price break from, but not officiants). We actually didn't tip him because the fee was so ridiculously high already.
If we had paid closer to $500, I probably would've tipped $50, as long as he was on time and all. But really, they totally pocket that $ and it's a heck of a lot for 30 minutes of work...
Also, ours didn't read the ceremony he had originally worked on with us. MIL was really happy with how it came out (more religious than DH and I had wanted) so it's fine and all, but it wasn't what we had discussed, which made me even less eager to tip.

I've read the tip should be between $50 and $100...I'm feeling soooooooooo broke right now...lol. He married a friend of mine, her sister, and another friend's sister...I've heard nothing but great things about him!! Good luck to you :0)

Re: Officiants?
I paid $575 & I did not tip him. My ceremony was 30 minutes. I should become an officiant eta: Come to think of it, he was basically the ONLY person we didn't tip that day lol
