Oh and another thing.. FH & I are fighting about...

Flowers...

He thinks my BOK should be ivory with a few lanvendar roses..

He thinks all brides should have white/ivory to match their dress and the BM should match theirs..urgh!

I want all lavendar roses.. big and full, Laurie said about three dozen..

Is it written somewhere that it has to be a certain way?? Shouldn't it be MY choice, I am the bride afterall..lol

I added a pic from another brides wedding (sorry) to show you what I am thinking of

ETA: No calla's in our bok's, just roses except for the MOH, she's having something a little different.. but the girls would have ivory roses with a few lavendar.. and mine would be all lavendar..

Traditionally they were mostly white or ivory. But these days brides are having bold beautiful colors.... choice is yours.... tell FH to get with it.

Jen I am having lavendar and white. my girls are carying whit lavendar and gerbars.

Not for nothing though but I give him credit for wanting to be involved. I showed Pat our tentative invitation and he said ' I don't wanna see them' Whatever man!!!!!!

I think mine will be all red roses... I personally like that look better... BMs will be in red.

I find it funny to because my FH doesn't really want to get involved with the research or planning the wedding-only when it's down to the final decision he gets involved, but then he seems to have such strong opinions of what he wants etc.

I personally like color contrast. I'm wearing an ivory gown and having burgundy callas and black magic roses. My girls are wearing cranberry dresses and will have white callas and ivory roses.

I say go with what you want.

My florist tried to tell me I had to have a white bo-k. I wanted red with yellow.

He said that should be the BM and they shouldnt all match because it would look boring to people.

I don't care what the 'norm' is.

I want red & yellow with VERY little white.
My MOH will have the same but slightly smaller and even less white. The BM will have all red & yellow with different flowers.

Go with what you want. All the white on white brides I remember in my past I can't really even remember their bo-k it sorta blended in. That's not what i want.

I have that same plm too.. he wasnt interested in flowers at all, until we met with Laurie three weeks ago.. I was like oh man.. lol

ETA: I agree, I like the contrasting look as well, I want my bok to stand out especially in the pictures.. the girls are wearing periwinkle, and unless we went with very dark purple for them, only light colored flowers will stand out.. I know in the end, he will probably give in, but he keeps sending me pictures of brides with white flowers... he's too funny!!

Personally, I don't like white or ivory bouquets, I think they're too plain. I think your idea sounds great! Go with what you want - what does he really care about the flowers anyway...

I think you should do EXACTLY what you want! I think the different color flowers add something instead of having all plain white. Good Luck!

Go with what you like for sure but it is nice that he has an opinion on the flowers. My FI has been pretty involved in the planning but I know when we get to the flower part, he will just sit there. He already suggested getting dandylions as CPs.

Although we chose the flowers together - he knew that I wanted yellow roses and he was all for it.
My bouquet was all red-tipped yellow roses with white stephanotis.....it was bold, bright and beautiful!!

Why does he care anyway (most guys don't). You'll be the one carrying it! I think that sound beautiful. If you explain to him that you really love it, he'll probably give in to it anyway.
