oh boy!!

so im having a slight delima... i have all along though i was going to go with coral dresses to tie in the beach theme.. i havent yet been able to find coral dresses that i like they are all very orangey and not what i was looking for so i was looking for a color i could do instead... and i have been finding some really pretty Blue colors and beach and blue go good blue water.. ya know.. but heres the problem... my cousin who is getting married in Feb ( ) is doing a blue and white wedding thats her theme.. so i dont want people to think ohhh shes doing the same thing as her!... so now im not sure. i guess as long as its not the same blue it shouldnt matter.

I wouldn't really notice themes to be honest with you..... Before I started planning my own wedding - I was clueless - I never even looked at cakes.

I'd say you were fine with blue. Besides - you're having more of a 'beach' theme, not a blue theme like she is....

i wouldnt worry about it...i am pretty sure my friend and i aare having the same BM dress colors...we didnt plan it out that way but we both have the same fave color. i see what your saying but i dont think you shouldnt be able to use a color JUST b/c your cousin is using it. it's not like she owns the color. ya know what i mean. maybe you should talk to your cousin and see what she thinks. i know some people can get weird and possesive about things like this, but if she understands and is cool with it then that might make you feel better. ya know? good luck. i think blue and coral are both really pretty colors.

yea your right... i realy want coral.. but ill have to keep looking.. but i refuse to go crazy.. so if i cant find something like soon then its to the 2nd choice.

Do the blue, but a different shade. I had the same dilema. I have loved the color purple all my life, and always dreamed of a purple wedding....My FH's brother is getthig married this year, and they have a purple theme. At first I got upset thinking I couldn't do the purple, but my FH assured me that it really doesn't matter. So I decided to do a darker Grape color since she is doing a lighter Heather color. SHe isn't upset, and I think that after a year passes, no one will really remember anyway.

I wouldn't pass on a color just because your cousin is using it. You could get a slightly different shade of blue if you want. However, since hers is a winter wedding and yours is a beach wedding I think that is more than enough to make them different.

Good luck finding coral dresses in the meantime!

not sure what you are looking for - check out my albums my cousin did mango - pretty orange-y but figured i would point it out for the coral type color. . . we were skeptical at first but it looked awesome the day of the wedding!

and i think its fine to have the same color - no one will notice beside you two not everyone is a psychotic bride like us!

the dresses were jim hjelm - they were 'okay' i think around $200 - there are definitely cheaper out there! but i had to pay over $300 for a Vera Wang BM dress before that one so i was thrilled lol also very flattering on all body types!
