Oh boy - I leave for China tomorrow morning!

I'm going to Shanghai and Beijing on business, and I leave tomorrow morning!

To be honest, I'm not terribly excited b/c I'll be working 7 days a week and missing Valentine's Day with my FI... but I am sure that it'll be a neat experience. I've been to Hong Kong and some other parts of China, but never to Shanghai or Beijing. We're staying in some nice hotels, too, which definitely helps matters. I'm just glad they have a gym so I can try to stick to this wedding diet!

I should have internet access so I'll hopefully be able to check in periodically - though at odd hours given the time difference. (I look forward to joining the night crew - hehe)

I haven't even left yet and I already cannot wait to get back to the US! I loooooove to travel, just not for work and not without FH.

Have a great couple of weeks. I'll be back and jet lagged on the 16th... but hopefully checking in periodically in the meantime.

Geeze, I really can't believe I'm going to China! And tomorrow!!

paid business trips to exotic locales.... priceless!!!!

I'm still waiting for a trip to asia.... I only send myself to europe every other year or so....

I consider working 12+ hours a day 7 days a week while I'm there a price!

JK - it will be cool. The hotels at least look awesome and flying business class if fun.

If only I didn't have to work when I get there!!

Get out! FH is leaving for Hong Kong on biz Tuesday.

Have a great time..even though it's biz milk it for some pleasure. No matter where I go on biz I always squeeze in a day for some fun

You will have fun and enjoy it!

I was just their for business and although I worked from 9 until like 2 am everyday I just love seeing the different culture and being in a different surrounding.

It def is lonely trying to go to beddy at night alone though and the TV isn't good because they aren't allowed to have too much american TV, but usually in the hotels there are 1 or 2 ameraican stations playing old funny movies.

well, when I'm on one of 'those' trips, it's like that too, but it's still stimulating to be in a new enviornment. I also get to chat with many euopean researchers, whom I only get to see once or twice a year. And no matter what, the food and coffee is always better than here

(I also have the option to stick around a few days after the dust settles, which is quite lovely. Nothing like sipping espresso and watching the people go by, and museum-hopping...
