A few weeks ago, fh and I went to look at some wedding rings for him. We found this one at zales and it cost about $2,400. Now the price went up to 3k. What is everyone spending on their fh's wedding band?
FH doesnt want diamonds so it will be wayyy cheaper. Hes picked a few online around 600-850

First... don't go to Zales if you're worried about price!!! We went to 4 places and looked at similar styles at each with the same carat weights in both rings and they were by far the most expensive.
FH and I spent $1100 on his and $700 on mine... we both got a yellow gold band with a half carat of channel set princess cut diamonds.
AMY: with the price of gold, honestly, the diamonds are the least of your worries. We got the same diamonds in our rings and his was still almost twice as expensive as mine because of the amount of gold in his ring.

WE went to Barrington Jeweler in Brooklyn... it's a small place on 86th street in Bay Ridge.
WE did get a little bit of an additonal discount cause FH's family shops there a lot.... but without that, the in house everybody gets it discount would have been $800 for my ring and I think $1400 for his. And his ring is very similar in style to the one you posted. They're really nice in there and if you go, tell them Steven C and Jamie sent you and that we just bought our wedding bands there.

PS, we also went to Helzberg Diamonds and another independent jeweler in Roosevelt Field just for comparison prices and there was no contest.

don't know exactly what I am spending - depends on what he wants. I know he definitely wants a platinum band and he is leaning towards a celtic designed band. I'm not concerned with what it costs for his band because the way I look at it is he spent a lot of $$ on my e-ring, is willing to spend the $$ to buy the wedding band I really want and he is working very to hard to pay for this wedding so I will pay whatever it costs. He deserves it

my FH wants just wants a plain platnum band (and thats why he got my e-ring in platnum..) - I have no idea what it'll cost but we'll go to the diamond district, where he bought the e-ring and buy mine at the same time to try to work a deal.

I only spent 300 because FH is so simple. He said he wanted a plain white gold band, and that is what he got. He loves it to.

Haha I thought the same thing... I really figured FH would be simple since he says he doesn't like jewelry and wanted to wear his ring on a necklace around his neck (what am I, dead?) but no, now he's gotta have his bling all of a sudden haha.. whatever, he's paying the bill

The band FH picked out was originally like $2K, but cause we got it at a place that does all custom made stuff, we were able to get it made with a little less gold so it's lighter and then we got a discount, so I think he's paying about $1200 for it

FH says he wants diamonds, but that is so not his style! Ive never ever even seen him in jewelry haha. Only watches.
Hopefully when he sees the price he will just want a nice white gold or platinum band

FH doesn't want diamonds...he wants the $30 band his friend has that they have on ebay. so that made my job a bit eaier! lol I am going to get him somethign a little better.. maybe 1 $100 one or something the band he saw wasn't gold or anything - its a material I can't think of right now thats getting big with guys...
