OH, I totally forgot to say!
So as I've complained about in the past, one of my major gripes has been that we will not be able to have the ceremony music that I wanted (Pachabel's Canon in D), because in the orthodox church outside music is not allowed.
So last week at our marriage seminar, the priest said that yes, while outside INSTRUMENTS are not allowed (strings, harps, guitars, etc.), we do have a choice between the traditional vocal chanting or the organist. AND as long as we pick a fairly traditional song (not Enya, as they tried once and said never again lol), like Canon in D, it's perfectly fine!
So yay! I can have my song after all! Granted not an overly pretty string arrangement as I would have liked, but still better than nothing!
