I understand, thats how much I paid for mine, and I'm not into wedding bands, fancy rings etc, and I didnt wanna spend more then like $200....And fh's cost $220 so we spent much more then we could afford, but then we do love our rings and you do wear them everyday of your life...is there anything you can sacrifice to afford it? I mean liek flowers die after a day or two, but the ring you will always have?

Why wouldn't you buy it off of ebay if it's going to save you $450 and allow you to get the ring you want?

This is what we did. I didn't really care about having tons of flowers or a wedding video. Instead, we put the money we saved on other things towards our rings because we both wanted platinum bands and knew they would be expensive. I am so happy with my decision because as dm24angel said, we wear our rings every day and will forever.

I also don't see anything wrong with getting the ring off EBay. I actually told my DH to look at E-rings at Costco because they had some beautiful diamonds with certification there. We decided against it because we didn't know if a jeweler would be willing to size something we didn't buy from them. Also my DH said he was afraid the ring might be stamped with 'Kirkland' on the inside. Seriously, who is going to know where you got your ring unless you tell them? I don't think a single person has asked me that.

Why not ebay? I love ebay. In terms of trust, the main thing is to look at the seller's feedback, if its 90% or better, than you are okay. Go for it.

I think it's ok to purchase jewelry from ebay. I got nice diamond earrings from a reputable seller and they appraised for 6 times the amount we paid! I understand your concern. If you see an item you like, you sould contact the seller and ask about a return policy. Some sellers let your return the item if it doesn't appraise for more than you paid.

I absolutely love ebay and would definitely buy the ring as long as the seller has good feed back and all.

My best friend bought her wedding gown off of ebay after many days of consideration. She wound up getting a gorgeous brand new dress for half the price the salon wanted to charge her.

I agree with everyone on here. I have always had a positive experience on ebay and have come across some great deals! I would certainly keep an the auction...if you can pick it up for a great price why not????
