So.. we have our marriage license. But it says my place of birth is Valley Stream, N.Y. when in fact I wasn't even born in this country.
Is this a problem lol?

Re: Oh, Marriage License question
I would probably go to the clerks office and change it. I dont know if it would cause a problem in the future but better off being on the safe side.

I agree. You don't want problems down the line.

I also wanted to know if I changed my mind and wanted to keep my last name (when I originally told the clerk's office that I was going to change it) do you think they will do that?

That you really have to decide at the SS office. At least that's what everyone told me. I ended up going the hyphenated route cuz I was freaking out.

that doesnt matter. putting it on the marriage license doesn't officially change your name. to change it you have to go to SS/DMV and make the changes. If you want to keep yours just don't do anything.

Really? I can just leave it as is? I was going to go to the clerk's office and have them change it on the certificate...

Re: Oh, Marriage License question
I got adopted when I was 22 and my new birth cert said I was born in CI (at the courts I guess). I don't think it matters.
