oh my freakin goddddddddddd......HELPPPPPP

omg so i just logged onto my bank account to check it and i find out that my check for one of my deposits to the watermill was sent back this afternoon
there is plenty in there to cover it and now i'm just sooooooooooooooooooooo pissedddddd that i have to call and sound like a moron and tell them to redeposit the check since this is the dumbest bank ever i don't even know why i deal with them any time i do anything in this account something gets screwed up i figured i'd give it one last chance for the checks i need to write to the vendors but now i don't know what to do and FH is no help he said it probally happens all the time.... well i highly doubt normal banks return checks when there is more than enough in the account

if any one knows what i should say to the watermill please i'm open to all ideas since i feel like a total moron calling and saying hey the bank F ed up can you just redeposit the check.

i would say just that - or ask them if they want you to get a certified bank check so they dont have to deal with the headache again.. atleast it makes it sound like you are doing them a favor then ya know

have any of you had anything like this happen?
or is it just me and my horrible luck?

Did you deposit a check to the bank where it had to clear that made the check to WM return? Thats really odd. Were you charged any fees?

the check was sent out weeks ago and the funds have just been sitting it finally hit the account today and now the stupid bank is sending it back and said there was clearly enough in there and has been for a while and they had the nerve to charge an over draft fee whitch they took off since there was no reason for it. but apparently there is no way for them to bring the check back now and i was told by the bank that it was a error and to just have them redeposit it...... yeah ooookkkkk.... i'm gonna make myself look like i don't have any money to them.

Can you get the bank manager to call Watermill to explain that it was their error?

When my first paycheck at a new job was rejected because of bank error, my boss was so embarrassed, he insisted that the bank manager explain to me personally what had happened.

Yeah, I would just call the Watermill- its not like this is a one time payment... you will be dealing with them for awihle, they should either undertstand or be able to work with you so that it all works out! Good Luck

What bank was it? I used to work for a bank and I know the one that I worked for is having a ton of problems lately. I wonder if this had anythign to do with it?? I used to work back office figuring out people's accounts all the time with deposits and floats, etc. FM me if you want.

it's citizens bank
i hate them i changed banks a while ago i only use it for checks but i don't think i will anymore

ok they got the check back and called before redeopsiting it so i explianed what happend and all was ok

i was so worried there was going to be seriouse problems because of it but all the worry was for nothing and it all worked out
