We were all set with everything for our October 2007 wedding. The location, the vendors everything now he has decided he wants to wait another year until 2008 so we have more money towards our house and to pay for the wedding.
I guess I am OK with this but it made me run out and change everything that I booked for our 07 wedding.
I am going crazy!!!!!

It'll all work out! Just a suggestion....is it possibly to cut your budget a little so that you don' t lose too much on your wedding?? Then you can have your wedding & buy a house! I'm not sure if its possible, I'm sure you have everything set already!
GOOD LUCK!

Yes we could cut the budget and that is a good idea but I feel all the original decisions are tainted and I want the wedding to be perfect.
I rather lose some money and have no bad memories

Thats completely understandable....I think I'd feel the same way...why compromise if in a year you dont' have too!

Re: Oh My God Changing Everything
I can understand some of your frustration. I was all ready to have our wedding in April 2008 and I had the RH booked and then my FH started stressing out about money. We ended up pushing the wedding to Sept. 2008. I wasn't thrilled at first but I am happy about it now. Just punch the numbers to see if waiting will make the most sense. Will you lose $$ on anything that is already booked? Can you maybe do it earlier in 2008 (unless you have your heart set on an October wedding...which I totally understand). Those are all things to consider before actually making the switch. Good luck!

awww i'm sorry.. that stinks that you have to do all of that!!! But you know in the end it won't be tainted.. it'll still be perfect.. maybe even better than you expected!!! Hugs for you!

It'll be worth it when you're not stressing over money! That will wind up being a huge relief and the best decision.
Plus, more time to plan!
Good luck. I am sorry you're disappointed, but these things have a way of working out for the best. I'm SURE it's worth the wait!

Re: Oh My God Changing Everything
I feel your pain. We were supposed to be getting married this September, but we were freaking out about money too and pushed it back to February after having already been engaged and planning for a year. We booked February because we wanted to keep our nice vendors but get cheaper prices from them (for our RH, January and February were the only months with cheaper prices). I had a whole fall theme going, and it took a long time to let that go and accept the winter wedding.
By the time I get married I'll have been engaged for 2 and 1/2 years! But guess what? It's only 7 months away now, and I've enjoyed being able to be a bride-to-be for this long. You only get to do it once (hopefully), so why not enjoy it for as long as you can!
