Oh mY Goodness!

You don't adresse the outside envelope 'and guest'
I did them all on my computer that way.
what goes on the oustide.. let's say it's
Miss. Snow White

that would go on the outside and then
Miss. snow white and guest goes on the inner?

S*%T!!!!!!!

I was about to send them out next week
Should I do them over?
Is this terribly bad?

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

i am nowhere near doing my invitations yet, but seriously, i would NOT redo them. don't even worry yourself with this - just decide right now you will keep them as is, case closed!

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

I don't think you should do it over! I think this is one of the sillier rules out there. No one is going to be offended that their outer envelope says and guest! Don't worry about it at all, just send them!

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

I know '& guest' is not supposed to be on the outter envelope, but I have gotten an invite like that (with it on the outer envelope) and I really didn't even notice. I would not worry about it. No one will notice but you.

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

I would send them out as is. Not something to stress over at all. I have gotten some that way.

Actually some people didn't notice it on my inners and thought they weren't invited with guests because I didn't write i t on the outers.

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

it's so not a big deal! I printed out my direction cards myself, and when I saw invites at peoples houses, the ink from the direction card had gotten imprinted on the invitations or response cards, whatever they happened to be next to! THAT was somethign to be upset about!

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

I sent mine to the printer with Ms. Snow & guest on the outer envelope. I found out after that I shouldn't have but its not any big deal. Most of the invitations I've received were done the same way so I guess most people don't know it either. Don't worry about them.

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

After I finished printing our envelopes, FH asked why I didn't write 'and guest' on the outer envelopes! He said that he's always received invites that are addressed that way.

Don't sweat it. I don't think anyone pays as much attention to our envelopes as we do!!

Re: Oh mY Goodness!

believe me, I would not re-do them. I did mine the way you're 'supossed to do them,' and I had a few people call me and ask if they were invited w/aguest!! All they looked at was the outer enevalope! So, you're probably better off w/how you did them!
