Oh no....

Oh no....

My aunt is in the hospital. She's not doing well. Needs a liver transplant.

My grandfather is not feeling so great either. He has sudden onset of a type of arthritis and can't move his arms. His liver is also not great, but he has thus far avoided the hospital (He was in over the summer- but miraculously recovered from being on his death bed)

I would appreciate prayers..but more importantly I want to remind everyone that drinking is not good.

Many of my family members are heavy drinkers. . .now look where 2 of them are. My grandfather begged me to never drink. Although I can't say I totally abstain, its definitely rare.

Stay healthy, stay happy, stay sober.

Re: Oh no....

Im so sorry. Listen- my dad had a liver transplant 10 years ago when he was 65 years old. Hes now 75 and has had NO PROBLEMS with his new liver at all in the past 10 years, knock on wood. Doctors are AMAZING, you have to put your faith in them and in God and all will turn out the way it is meant to. It is a long hard process to go through, but its nothing compared to the years of happiness that follow.. Please FM me anytime if you need anything or have any questions or just want to talk

for your aunt, grandpa & your entire family

I'm soo sorry to hear that. My family ...well way back before I was born, so my mother told me, were heavy drinkers. My granfather died from scerosis of the liver, and my brother battled with alchoholism for quite some time. Thank god he's ok now, but I hear what your saying. It's a terrible thing!! My hopes are that your family members get well, and my hope is that any girls here who OVER induldge with their consumption of alchohol, use this as a wake up call. It indeed can happen to ANYBODY!!!!!! Besides that it packs on pounds anyway. And what girl in her right mind thinks she'll look good on her wedding day all swollen from drinking? Anyway......Lots of hugs for you
