Ok so I'm a slacker and I know it... I had my RH booked and my depo on my dress.. Well now that I wanted to change my dress, I now don't even have that checked off.. So Now I'm down to just one thing done.. Fh and I have not saved for nothing because of all whole bunch of non-sense that needed to be paid... Now I can get back on track but what the heck do I do???
I looked at my time line and I'm behind on like everything. I'm now overwhelmed and have no idea where to start.

How much do you usually need to book these?

Re: Oh no
First...take one thing at a time. Do you have any idea of who you would like to use for photo, limos, or florist? Just do your research, and start booking one at a time. I really don't think there is truely any 'set' timeline...I still have to book my limos LOL. Just try to find what you like ... you still have 10 months. At my 10 month line I had ONLY the RH booked. LOL

Re: Oh no
for me I paid 1/3 of the price of the photog but I dont know if thats how everyone does it. That came to about 1600
DJ I gave a $300 deposit
Limo's I gave $300 deposit
Florist I gave $50 deposit
I am sure each place is different tho.

Re: Oh no
After the RH i would look into a church if you are doing one. Then photos they book very quickly i put down $500. I then looked into DJ i put down $200 and now recently LImo which i also put down $200. Next up is flowers which i will also probably give $200.

don't freak out it's not that bad we have 6 months left and haven't booked anything but RH yet in our eyes we still have plenty of time since we did a bunch of meetings this past week and narrowed it down to a few possibilities and they all have openings for our date(not many but they do)

Re: Oh no
Dont worry...you have plenty of time. I am at my 7 month mark and still have limos, florist, invites, honeymoon...etc.. This site does make me paranoid at times. I read around and people are buying jewelry for a year away!!! In the end, it will all come together

Re: Oh no
Make a list of to do's. Start with the things that are most important to you and then come up with a budget for each. Then you can start with the 1st item, do research, meet with vendors and book. Deposits are usually minimal. A lot of ppl plan weddings in under 6 mths and who knows, maybe you'll get better deals if you wait longer because your vendors aren't booked yet.

Re: Oh no
I would def do photo/video within the next month...the others you still have some time for. At the very least, compile a short list of vendors you'd like to meet with, so when the time comes, all you have to do is call for an appointment.
