I think I'm getting sick!!! I woke up this morning and my throat felt a little sore and scratchy...and it hasn't gone away!!! What should I take to stop it now before it gets worse???

And take a LOT of zinc! I swear by this. Take the max you're allowed per day, it's good for the immune system.
Lots of tea with honey and lemon. Airborne if you believe that stuff works. Eat lots of fruit and drink a lot of water.
And no licking toilet seats!

I get sore throat when i sleep too close to A/C.
Def try the salt water gargle and on some cough drops during the day.
