Oh no!!!! Hurrican Irene!

if this storm takes a sudden turn to the right, we are screwed!

ETA: I tried to attach a picture of the 5-day forcast

Gulp, no...but I do remember Hugo in 89...I was still living in PR! My DH likes to call those 'the pre-immigrant days'...anything before 90...I know it in Spanish and from the perspective of a girl in an island...

Let's just hope it weakens or goes back out to sea.

me neither...you think the Watermill will laugh at me if I call to ask if they have back up generators and what will happen if a storm/hurricane hits?

Even if it comes this way, it could make landfall and hit other states...dont' worry! But yes, always ask about back-up plans...

Hopefully LI weddings will be fine, Northern VA where I am is supposed to get hit bad on Tuesday....should be all good if stays on this course for this and next weekend's brides on LI (down here may be a different story)

Ah yes I remember Gloria, no power and no school for a week.

Two years ago we had a hurricane here and a friend of mine had to change the location of his wedding the day before since they had no power, after he arranged this, the place got power back but he didn't have time to call all the guests AGAIN!!! crazy!!!
