OH NOOOOOOO

I can't believe what just happened!!!!!

My mom and I were making a double batch of pumpkin pie filling which is a pain in the a$$ to make because you gotta separate 8 eggs, warm milk and temper the egg yolks in and then blend everything together...its a long process.

So we're blending everything in the blender and all the milk won't fit, so I go to take the container off the blender and add it to the milk....THE BOTTOM CAME OUT OF THE BLENDER AND ALL THE FILLING SPILLED OUT!!!!!!

Huge globs of filling all over the counter, spilling down the sides onto the floor and all over me!!!!


My mom just went out to get more stuff....I can't believe this just happened!! ONLY ME!!!! I'm supposed to be learning this so that next year I can do them myself and bring them (one less thing my mom has to do)...I really hope it goes better next year!!!

You're having no luck with cooking lately! Sheesh!

Kudos to you guys for still making them...pumpkin pie is DELISH and it'll taste even better knowing all the hard work that went into them!

LOL...this is not my blender, this is my mom's $hitty $30 one

And after the whoooole thing...she goes 'I don't know why we didn't just do it in the stand mixer'


I was like WHUT@#($&!~!!!#$@#

I made her go out and get new stuff because there's filling all over my clothes


Also...roz...I swear, its because this thing involves eggs!!!! I've now separated 17 eggs (one of which I got yolk in so I couldn't use) and 2 more eggs broke on me!! One I was just trying to take out of the container and it broke right there!!! The other I was trying to crack open and it broke all over my hands!!!

Eggs seriously have a vendetta against me lately

really, the BEST way to separate eggs is to man up and use your hands.

Crack the egg and pour into your hand. The whites will fall through your fingers and the yolk will stay in your palm.

Kinda gross feeling, but its the fastest, cleanest (by not breaking the yolk) and simplies way to go

is it hard to make pumpkin pie?
I told FH I wanted to make a nobake cheesecake with strawberrys for tomorrow, but he wants me to make him pumpkin pie (his FAVORITE thing in the world- he'd marry it over me if he could) but I told him I want nobake cheesecake and I don't know how to make pumpkin pie-

his solution... PPCC... pumpkin pie cheese cake
basically make my nobakecheesecake and add some pumpkin pie mix.

i'll make it.. but i wont eat it.
