some girl i graduated with keeps writing facebook statuses about how she thinks it's 'ridiculous' for people to get married at 24

I'm 21 and dealt with mannnny comments like that! The sad part is that we got more comments from friends than anyone else! But the friends who made the comments were the ones who were going through major love life issues... I've realized it's easier to just let them say their comments and ignore it. I'm happy and I don't care if anyone thinks I'm too young to be married! And if 24 is too young, my hubby was 23 when we got married in January so whatever! lol.

it could be jealousy, depends on how she phrased the comment. I know personally that if I got married at the age of 24 (I actually was engaged to my college boyfriend), I would DEFINITELY be divorced by now. I am glad I didn't get married to him because we both had completely different opinions on how we wanted our future lives to be (he wanted 6 kids, house in the burbs, and a stay at home mother while I wanted to be Career Woman w/ maybe 1 child and live-in nanny).

I went through a ton of changes between the ages of 24 and 30, I can't imagine settling down or marrying my fiance at that time even if I knew him back then - I was a different person.

once you know you are meant to be with someone, then you just know! we can't help it! =)
