I've been thru hell and back trying to get into that gown. I was sick for about a year and had lost around 20 pounds by the time I went to buy my dress. By the time it came in, I was healthier and gained the 20 back. It was like stuffing a sausage into a straw My seamstress was wonderful and took the top part out about 2 inches. A main reason I chose this dress (the third and final one I tried on) is because of the mermaid/trumpet shape and the way it cinches in my waist (which is non existent). I called it my Jessica Rabbit dress the first time I tried it on
