Oh! The agita!

I need to let it out! I don't current work for a school district, but have been happy in the tenure track position I am in. I've been interviewing with districts in hopes of getting something, but have come so close 3 times this year (but then they picked the other person)! Well, I interviewed today for a leave replacement and they apparently really like me. Within 2 hours of the interview they were calling my references (that's how I know they liked me so much).

So, now I have agita! 1) the job isn't exactly my dream job but it isn't my worst nightmare. I could do it and probably be happy in it, with it being a foot in the door of a district. 2) it's a leave replacement and I would be leaving a tenure track for it, though it's in a district.

Well, they haven't officially offered it yet, but I don't know what I'll do if/when they do! I needed to let this out! Argh, of course they do this a week and a half before we return to to school!

I am sorry I am a little confused.

You are tenure track in one district

You are interviewing for a leave replacement in another district?

You want to get out of your current district I take it?

Can I ask why? What makes you think this new district will not be the same? What if this district has nothing for you next year?

The other thing is, they can and might do this, they can make you stay up to 30 days from the day you give notice so that they can find someone! They did this to someone in my department that left!!

so sorry honey that i dont knwo how all that works yet, but i wish you tons of luck in making the right decision. no matter what, i always feel fate has a lot to do with everything and you will wind up where God wants you to be! trying not to get too philosophical on you...
