Oh the drama from FH side never ends

Today I spoke with FH aunt and she questioned me too ( FSIL allready grilled me about why so many people that she didnt have as many) about why am I having so many people at the RD. that the readers dont have to be there and I said youre right they dont have to but we want them there to be familiar with church, so heres the punch line she says well am I invited??????????????? I was on the spot I said uh I dont know Robs father is paying for this and its for the people who are involved in the ceremony, so she invites herself and I dont know what to say and then questions me about her sons who are in the BP if ALL of their children are invited- I told her no, the kids are not invited again its for the ceremony rehearsal only- she gives me well they are out of town and they are all gonna be at my house- there are 5 of them 16, 17, 17, 8, and 7. I said I think the older ones are capable of watching them and we are right up the road. ugh I wanted to choke her over the phone. first why am I having so many people but she invites herself and FH uncle AND wants me to have ALL the kids- and then for the FG I am only having them and their mom b/c then I would have to invite their siblings and father too , at that point it gets way out of control for a RD. I dont know what to do- she put us in an awkward position and frankly its nobodys business on who we want there and why. but family is family and you have to respect- so I told Rob its your aunt you handle it. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Tell her its not her business why you are having so many people and if she wants to be invited to bring it up with fh's dad. You have nothing to do with it.

Ugh! Keep the mantra in your head: I'm getting married. I'm getting married.....

OMG - how funny. I JUST had this problem. Does it really matter who is invited to the RD? I like that mantra . . . . at this point, that may be the only thing that may help. My only other advice is, avoid family after wedding, even just for short-term. I am starting to believe the concept of a honeymoon started so the bride and groom could get away from their nutty families, who are very much loved, but nonetheless nutty . . . .

awww!!!! Just take a deep breath. You are the bride and you make the decisions! Don't let his aunt get to you. Just remember it is your wedding, and its your way!
