Oh, the Drama in my family!

Well I can't get into it or I'll get all hysterical again, but my folks are having some personal problems that are affecting the wedding. FH and I are looking into back up plans. I was wondering if anyone has planned a wedding for 200+ people in under 7 months...and also what the general concensus is on the Atlantica in Westhampton....will get into more detail later if I need to, but right now I need ideas for a great place in the Hamptons (or close by) for a wedding we are footing the bill for. Are prices in February that much cheaper???

Prices in February are much cheaper and I planned my wedding in 7 months no problem..

sorry you are going through this but whatever it is, it will work out.

Sorry to hear about your problems....hopefully they will work themselves out soon

I definately think you can do a wedding in 7 months. We did ours in 8. The amount of people really won't effect your planning time any its just making sure all the vendors you want aren't booked already.

From everything I have heard the Atlantica is awesome : ).

Yes prices are lower in February, I got married 2/16. You could plan the wedding in that time frame

I hope it all works out

You can def. do it, especially with the advice you get here. If I had found this site earlier, I'd have been done in 6 months!

You can definitely plan it in 7 months. And the Hamptons in Feb will be MUCH cheaper than September plus you will have availability on vendors out that way as well. I'm having my reception at Atlantica in 3 months so I may be partial, but it is still beautiful in the winter. Check out JanAtlanticabride's pics or sned her a FM. She had a beautiful winter wedding there this past January.

And I hope whatever problems you are having/going through work themsleves out.

I got engaged on 1/1/03 and had all my major vendors and the hall within the first month and a half. You ca totally plan it in 7 months.

I am not sure how close it is to Westhampton but what about Giorgio's, i think it is in Baiting Hollow. I have heard that it was really nice.

I think the prices if February will be much less expensive, but remember to steer clear of Valentine's Day weekend -- that could drive the prices of flowers way up!
