*~*~* Oheka Castle Girls!! *~*~*

There aren't many of us here, but I know there were a few getting married this year.

Have you had your wedding yet there?! If not, how's the planning going?

My wedding there is in 19 days! The countdown really begins!

I just went for my second fitting yesterday, and the dress is more beautiful than I remembered!

I'm going to the Castle about a week before the wedding to drop off menus, programs, place cards, OOT guest notes for hotel rooms and favors. Still need to write out seating chart and place card names!

I'm planning to have my ceremony in the garden, so hopefully the weather cooperates!

Ahhh so exciting!!! I still have 5 months to go. I'm waiting for my invitations to be printed/assembled. I also have to figure out parents gifts. Any suggestions??

Also, what appetizer/entree selections did you go with? Did you select any pass-throughs or cocktail hour stations that were different from the standard package?

Are you doing a gift bag for OOT guests that stay in the castle? The rooms already have a bunch of snacks and water in it, so I'm curious what else you're going to give them?

I just went to a wedding there on Friday and stayed in the hotel. Everything was gorgeous! The food was amazing! Unfortunately I didn't realize the cocktail hour was in more than one room (the other side of the bar area too) so I only tasted the food in my room and loved the eggplant parm/rollitini and risotto the most! Oh and some passed out lambchop was out of this world and i typically never eat that.
The ballroom was gorgeous and again the food was outstanding. The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and were slow bringing out drinks and some tables were done with dinner and others hadn't even received theirs yet, but didn't seem to bother anyone...still delicious!
This is probably terrible to say since so much goes into the wedding, but my favorite part was the hotel rooms! The bath was the most amazing and romantic thing ever! I would go back to just stay in their hotel in a heartbeat. :) Oh and the breakfast the next morning at the hotel. AMAZING!

i didnt know they gave out stuff in the rooms? like what? might change what i am giving out in those bags.

they have a basket with 2 bottles of water, a bag each of pretzels, chips, milano cookies and peanuts, in each room.

crap----- what am i going to put in it now? maybe ill still do the same stuff bc some of the rooms with my friends have more than 2 in them so i want to make sure everyone has stuff they need.

also thinking of including:
tissues
medicine (advil packs)
candy
mints/gum
instant coffee mini pack

any other ideas???

also welcome note, timeline, brunch info, directions to rehersal dinner, etccc

maybe shout-out wipes/pads? definitely the advil packs, alka seltzer? packet of wisps? $1 mini lint roller? i dont know, just ideas!
