im making it,too!!

not sure what recipe u have but ill tell u hwo to make it anyway. soo quick!

take a pan.. use PAM spray a lil all over.. take 3-4 sheets of filo.. put them on the bottom..

mix CHOPPED spinach with feta and dill.. i think its dill? its the green thign with tinnny lil bristles lol aand 3-4 eggs.. mush it alllll together with ur hands.

make sure u use A LOT of feta cuz the feta melts whhile its cooking and it will just tase spinachy. (bleh)

then u take 1 filo sheet at a time and use butetr spray or melted butter.. and butter each sheet individually.. (3-5 sheets)

PRE-CUT THE SPINACH PIE BEFORE U PUT IT IN THE OVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

enjoy!!

Re: Ohhh Greek ladies!

This is the one I'm using
Was I wrong in calling it that when it's not an actual pie, but triangles?

This one has no egg in it...I was thinking about adding dill though, so I'm glad you mentioned that!

I hate eggs...they really kinda freak me out and I won't eat my own creation LOL

Maybe I'll make something else instead! Back to searchin...

Re: Ohhh Greek ladies!

The recipe I found calls for a lot of butter...a stick plus a little more...maybe that's why there are no eggs?

I have a frickin' pound of spinach in my fridge that needs to be used soon - I think I'll make them, if they're dry then whatever, they're only being served to my closest of friends so it's not like I'll be embarrassed...maybe I'll put them out after a lot of drinking has occured..

Yeah, as much as I like to eat, I have a massive amount of issues with food that comes from animals...thank god Neel's vegetarian too - although without the issues I have - it just makes life a whole lot easier..

Thanks for the tips, Barb!

I can have cheese, but not cheese that has animal rennet (lining of a cow/sheep's stomach) as an ingredient and when it comes to feta, only feta that's made in the U.S. as it's processed through machinery and not through the methods where it's pressed through sheep stomach lining.

See what I mean? You opened up a can of worms!

Re: Ohhh Greek ladies!

I'm not Greek but I made the triangles as an appetizer twice in the past month...not sure if it's called spanakopita if it's in the trinagles?? But I basically just used spinach, feta, eggs, & dill. Then I buttered each layer of the phyllo, used maybe 5 sheets or so, & cut them into strips. I put the spinach mixture into a corner & folded them into triangles. Everyone loooved them and they are so easy!
