Oil

My oil contract is up with Petro and I can either lock in at 2.48 a gallon or go with a variable rate..... That is $2.24. What is everyone else doing? Also any recommendations of other providers in the Babylon area? I was paying $1.50 last year!!!

i'm new to this and have requested DH do his homework prior to us signing up with a contract... he has narrowed it down to 3 companies (we are in jersey) and stated that the new rates will come out this month and will change once a month (?)

what should we look out for? how does one evalutate maintance contracts and such? how not to get ripped off?

We opted to not lock in with anyone. The cheapest we were offered was 2.09 and that was in May. We only moved in in May so we just filled our tank last week. We got 1.78 with TNP. They always have coupons in the pennysaver or suffolk life for 5 free gallons. I don't live near Bab but my parents always give us the coupons (they're in WB).
