Thanks ladies, and I dont mean to be a pain in the butt, but, how much does a tank usually hold and how long does that last?

Thanks!

Re: OIL CONTRACTS AND COMPANIES

I think it depends on the tank
some are larger than others
we just got a new one last year, it was like 3 grand!

We have gas heat, but I deal with several oil companies on a business level. I'd recommend Petro.

As far as tank sizess, does your home have an existing one? Is it underground (hopefully not). USTs can average in size of about 1,000 gallons, while the abovegrounds tend to be much smaller, in the range of 275 gallons. You won't find aboveground (in basement or otherwise) much bigger.

Thanks everyone.

Trish, i have an above ground one but its REALLY old, we will probably have to replace it this year or next.

275 gallons, how long does that last?

Suzanne, I'm not sure how long a 275-gallon tank would last. I guess it depends on your heating usage apossibly hot water usage. Replacement costs will be a couple of thousand though
