Re: oil spill question

those were BPs oil rigs. so that is the only company that may be affected by prices.

the other companies need to worry abou their own supply and demand. this is why when there are problems with the mideast gas goes up (cuz they provide alot to all the oil companies)

but the oil spill was only recorded on bp's books. kwim?

Crude oil prices are the no. 1 factor of what we pay at the pump. The US government adds taxes on top of that price and that is what we pay at the pump. BP was drilling for crude oil inventory purposes. Now if it was one of their refineries that was messed up, that is where the problem would be because they would have all this cruide oil but nothing to refine that petroleum
