Please don't be offended, but I am just curious about the trends. We just booked today and sandals grand antigua.
1. has anyone been there?
2. how much did you spend/are you spending on your honeymoon and how long did you stay.
I am so excited, the place looks awesome....but it is really expensive. However it seems less expensive then some places and I thought ehhh...it's our honeymoon.
All inclusive for 5 nights + flight = 4,500
were we crazy!?

First off it sounds right for what I have seen on the board for that kind of vacation. So no, it doesent seem like you are spening more for the same kind of vacation.
I say your honeymoon is one of those vacations you spend money on. You want to have a good time so spend the money to do it right, and do it tha way you REALLY want.
You are NOT crazy. Enjoy it and be happy!

Our whole honeymoon was 11 nights in Hawaii... we spent about $9000 on the whole honeymoon plus we use miles for airfare and my dad's Marriot points for the first hotel. $4500 was for the 7 day hotel, it was high luxury though and we got an Ocean Front room. The rest is what we estimated we spent on excursions, food, shopping, etc.

I am staying at the Sandals in St Lucia.
I believe we paid $4,100 for the resort for 7 nights and another $1,700 or something on airfare. The resort was more but then they had a sale and I got a price adjustment. woo hoo.

We just went there for our HM and it was excellent. It was every bit as beautiful as the pictures, if not better. We stayed 7 nights, so it was a little bit more but we probably spent under 400 on extra stuff (a kayaking/snorkeling excursion, pictures, etc). We splurgesda little on a nicer suite and ended up with a free penthouse upgrade on top of that!

We are going on a 9-night Royal Caribbean cruise that is costing us around $4500 before excursion costs. Its out of NJ so there's no airfare to worry about.

we're going to Hawaii for 3 weeks. We will be spending about $11,000 - $12,000 with food, excursions, etc., but we are not paying for airfare to/from Hawaii thanks to FF miles!

we're doing a 12 nt cruise out of rome to mediteranian and egypt. before air it is costing us 5k. i figure with the air well be looking at 6-7k

On just airfare and hotels in Europe I think we have spent just around $5000. I think. Honestly looking at the numbers makes me sick! But like other posters have said, it's the vacation of a lifetime. You only get one honeymoon! Go crazy!

I havent booked the real HM yet because we can't yet, info not released, so have no idea what Greece will run us for 2 weeks ( ), but for 4 days/3 nights in San Juan it's costing us a hair over 2k for hotel and airfare, solely. No food, drink, activities, or spending money included. It's a bit expensive for what it is, but flights were high because close to Christmas, and it's the Ritz Carlton lol.

We went there on our HM. We stayed for 7 nights and paid $7,200 w/o air (My mom got us 1st class tickets as a gift).
We stayed in the huts. Below is a pic. I loved it there and would go back... only thing is we are food people and I loveeeeeee bacon cheeseburgers and never in my life would I think I would say this...but by the end of the trip I was sick of them! LOL! Go to barefoot by the beach at night.. it has the best food if you like fish. The spa was really nice! I have more pics on facebook.
