Reached Medical Max Improvement
10% disability.

What does this exactly mean for me.

other than, i hope, no more PT

Claim details: (in case you haven't heard)

DOL: 9/11
Injury: Meniscus Tear Left Knee
Date of Surgery: 12/31/2001
Physical Therapy since that date and current

Sensitivity to the outter area of my knee just below the scar tissue. Knee still does not show improvement of strength compared to my other knee. It is weaker and bending it causes discomfort.

Ok.. so besides the fact that it took my THIS long convince everyone that I have been going to PT for a really NO major improvement....

What does this mean for me?

(oh yes and I will bump for answers cause yes believe it or not this is important to me)

Thanks for answering the best you can and giving me any thoughts you have or experiences you know of.

Well i didnt want to be accused of bumping for selfish reasons ... er wait.. they are selfish reasons.. *shrug* anyway.. duly warned.

I just realize it's a tough question.. need to make sure it gets seen to catch the right people who can answer. Actually that's why I posted it now.. cause this is the lull of LIW.

The Changing of the Guard. When people are going home, getting home, or leaving for work. For the next hour or so it's slower then the night crowd logs on.

not going to get any better with physical therapy.....that you would have a 10% disability in that knee..

workers comp will not pay anymore for physical therapy....

this is what mike says....(he deals with medical claims for insurance)

i get the no more PT and honest Im HAPPY for it. I was so fed up with PT .. Some people say it must be great, free gym and all, but it's not REALLY its not.

My questions: if you can ask him..
1- future medical bills related to the injury?
2- What's next? Do i just go on with life and any new bills just mail in or do they try to buy me off?

mike says that they should give you a date after which the medical bills will be denied by worker's comp. that means they would pay any old bills before that date and the bills after that date would not be covered. It sounds like any further treatment would be denied by worker's comp.

When you get a chance, ask Mike, does that mean that WC is trying to say, 'oops sorry, this is the best we can do, now get on with your life and leave us alone'?
