Definatly get their addresses and mail them- its much more formal that way and doesn't look like its a last minute invite.

I got one invite handed to me once...i didnt go to that wedding...and i got invited to another via interoffice email the day before the wedding...didnt go to that one either...

We have an ichat system in our dept, so I am just gonna ichat to people I will invite, so that way other people that I am not inviting won't even hear me asking for the addresses :)

I asked my TA's and the other teachers for their addresses. Or I sadly tried to look them up online from there phone numbers.

2 of my co-workers sent individual emails to everyone asking for our addresses and the correct spelling of our FH/ significant others names. We recieved thoes in the mail.
a few month later one girl just put them in our work mailboxes. A bunch of us were talking and a) found it strange, b) felt like it was a last minute thing, and c) were shocked when her registry info was in the invite.. we felt like it was a last ditch effort for gifts.
