Ok, dumb waxing question...

How long does it usually last? If I go today for a leg and bikini wax, will it be okay until i get back from my honeymoon? Or should I do it next week right before the wedding?

Re: Ok, dumb waxing question...

I would say to go on Monday or Tuesday if you can. If you go this weekend then it should last, but you could have a few strays. Sorry if that TMI. You also don't want to do it the day before the wedding because you could get some irritation.

I had a friend do this the two days before her wedding, and they couldn't finish in the first day because she was in so much pain and was starting to bleed. She had to go back the next day (day before her wedding) and she was sore on her wedding day. I suggest giving it a few days.

Re: Ok, dumb waxing question...

I did a bikini wax the monday before the wedding, and it started growing back a few days into the honeymoon and was really itchy and got bumpy. She told me it would last for about a month, it hasn't been a month yet, and its all grown back.
I am pretty disappointed, actually.

Was it your first time? That is probably why you had this experience.

Yes, it was the first time. I figured this was why, I am going to give it another chance.

Re: Ok, dumb waxing question...

I also just got legs waxed for the first time and a week later I felt like it had never been done, my girl told me it needs to be done a couple of times to get good results after years of shaving,
I'm gonna try a few more times and see what happens

Re: Ok, dumb waxing question...

For the ladies that are not 'regular' bikini waxers or first timers, I would recommend getting your bikini wax about two months prior to your wedding. That way your body and skin can get 'adjusted' to waxing. You can observe any 'reactions,' your pain tolerance level and the next time you go it will grow back slower. . . this way you can have ample time to 'get used to it' BEFORE the wedding.

Re: Ok, dumb waxing question...

unless you get waxed often I would do it now then wait. Your first time is a little painful, esp when it starts to grow back in. Also unless you wax often the hiar grows back quickly. you have to go alot boefore the hair stops growing in fast.

Brazilian - I'm sure that's the reason she was in so much pain. And I'm pretty sure that was her first time getting the whole thing done.
