OK FH is clueless...

He mentions today how he'll be in the market soon for a new car. What kind of car does he like?

A Mini Cooper!!!!

Cute and all but....

Um, dude....shouldn't we be thinking long term investment here? Shouldn't we be getting cars with some kind of room in them?

Thank goodness I have the brains in this relationship! I bought a Honda Fit that has excellent room! (not as great as a mini van or an SUV but it's still good enough) I think he refuses to get a family car EVER.

what's with that car?? my FI wants it too. but his reasoning is that we live in Bay Ridge where it's so hard to park and the only spaces available are for people for mini coopers.

Tell him to get a Fit!! They are so pettite but soooo roomy inside. Incredibly easy to park!

he probably won't like it though. FH thinks it's 'ugly as a pecker.' he thinks it looks like a stationwagon!

i know what you're saying though, not exactly a proper fit for a child's car seat or anything... but hey, you can always get a short term lease like I did! it might be fun for like 2 yrs before

I think it's just boys and cars, every other day FH tells me he wants to buy me a car....now, my car is fine, and I just paid off the car in June. I have no car payment, and plan on running the thing down into the ground.

FH really wants me to get a car so that HE can have a new car and give me his. I just told him no. He pouts, but he'll deal.

See, I wouldn't say FH is big on cars.....right now he drives a stupid white pickup truck.

Why doesn't he realize we can't have just one of us with a roomy car? I'm not gonna be the only one lugging around extra cargo!

you're lucky, everytime we're int he car and he sees a nice car, he rambles out letters and numbers of the car like I know what he's talking about (example, Z6 or TL or whatever)

that is the car im looking to buy if i buy one soon... I LOVE IT! but yes, totally unpractical!

Tara!! Boys are so dumb sometimes with their car preferences... 2 nights ago, Paul comes home from work to tell me he's wants a Ferrari and I laughed in his face! I said, 'AND WHERE ARE WE GOING TO PARK IT IN BROOKLYN... ON THE STREET?!' I almost lost all control of my bladder I was laughing so hard.
All seriously though, we could never afford that type of car, but in the meantime I'll keep letting him dream
We're in the market for an SUV, but not until we start looking for a house this summer.

My FH sold his Infiniti G35 Coupe for a Jeep recently...he is th eone thinking about family...that is the exact reason he did it! he said you have a small car (corrolla sport) and we need a family car now...
