Ok girls-Need help about registry and china

Ok girls-Need help about registry and china

First off, FH and I had to go to Fortunoff about 3 times before we could decide on a pattern we liked for our china.

So I find out today that our pattern is backordered until the end of September which is AFTER my shower.

I really don't want to change it, but kind of feel that people might not buy it because it backordered.

What would you do?

I'm completely torn

BTY: The invites are already out, so if we decide to change it, we have to do it now.

I think I would change it also. Unless you are looking forward to purchasing it all yourself!

Oh! How nice a date twin!

It took FH and I, probably a total of about 2-3 hours to pick our china. We didn't want to get anything to expensive, but also something we both liked (obviously ) our setting is $120. The other one I remember liking was I think about $200.

You don't think people will buy it anyway? Or give us a GC?

Hi there date triplet!
What is the pattern? Michael C. Fina is also a very good option. Thye keep almost everything in stock. Even if it is a special order, you can see how long it would take to get it in.

Actually, Michael C. Fina is the name of a store in the city. They have a website Michael C. Fina as well but I recommend going there to see what they have. They carry almost every pattern I have ever seen.
Is this your everyday or your formal china?

Did you get a lot of them anyway? Or maybe GC instead?

I know how hard it is for me to make decisions, so, I can understand why after finally making a decision, you don't want to change it.

Even though it's backordered, can people pre-order it and it will be delivered once it's in stock?

If not, I think the gift certificate suggestion was very good. The GC could be 'earmarked' for your china. Maybe your family could discreetly spread the word?

I would go ahead and register for it. Some of my cousins peices were backorded & people bought them anyway. They told my mom when she bought a platter that she would get the pick up card either way (backordered or not) and the couple can still come to pick everything up at once when the backordered stuff is in. It wasn't too big a deal. They can see the product in the store & no one has to worry about bringing fragile items to a shower or packing them in the car afterwards with a million other things

If that's what you like, I would keep it. I think people will either gift you gift cards, or backorder it in your name.

Even though its backordered, it can still be ordered and shipped when it comes in.

Thanks for all your responses!
