Re: ok girls...i finally did it!

Well, I tried on some dresses that need to be left in the 80's.

ETA: I tried on these!

NOT my tastes...IMO

But I was surprised that I didn't look like a giant marshmallow - which was my fear.

I did try on a dress by Mon Cheri and I can't find a pic of it... It was ivory/rum pink with roses and it had a sweetheart neckline. the bad part...spaghetti straps... which I don't want.

But I head to Bridal Reflections to try on some Maggies next week.

Congrats Leese...on your 10 month mark AND on beginning your journey!

I am sure something will jump out at you. and remember, if you really liked that dress, they should be able to alter the straps for you!

enjoy it!

Did you ask Fran about taking away the spaghetti straps??

Yeah. They are looking into it with the seamstress. I think they could add a thicker stap...but I either like the off the shoulder strap or a sleeve attached... I'll see if i can find a pic of sleeves i like...

Re: ok girls...i finally did it!

Yay! I found the dress that I sorta liked a lot (except for the straps).

I asked the store who said it was Mon Cheri and then I called Mon Cheri, got the style number and then googled it.

It was so flattering on me!

Mon Cheri Collection
Style: 24210

Organza Over Matte Satin Princess Line Gown - shaped neckline and satin hem band trimmed with embroidered satin appliqué, inside elastic waist support, faux buttons trim zipper and semi-cathedral train, built-in crinoline, built-in inside bustle, matching shawl included. (White, Ivory, Ivory/Rose) (Sizes 6-22, 16W-28W)
