I don't remember what thread it was but I saw someone that had bobble head dolls made of her & FH for their cake topper.
I thought that was so cute, did a little research and they are about 200 dollars each... Plus, our wedding is only a little over a month away so I don't think it's doable.
(Plus FH veto'd the 200 dollar for a cake topper part)
I would really love to do a Mets/Yankee theme (I'm a die hard Met fan and FH is a die hard Yankee fan-- in fact we're flipping the channels right now... baseball is LIFE in our house...)
So ANYWAY-- You guys know I'm an artist... I'm thinking about creating my OWN cake topper... using my FH & my likeliness out of polymer clay. of course having the Mets & Yankee hats in it... AND maybe my 7 year old son (who currently has a mohawk and will probably have it for the wedding)
what do you think???
TELL ME I CAN PULL THIS OFF!!!

I think that is A GREAT IDEA
Will it put oo much pressure on yourself? Will you feel stressed to get it done?
i am a NUT- I stress all day and night-
you may be able to do it, and if thats what you really want go for it- why not?
$200.00 is WAY too much...

ugh... you should have HEARD my mother's reaction to my idea...
luckily, I have an AMAZING sister (who is my irish twin & best friend in the whole world) to vent to & encourage me...
hahaha it so wonderful having a sister so close in age...sharing the same experience... I had the baby first... she got married first so we're now helping each other out

Just incase you get frustrated or run out of time- here's another option. I got mine through jwcaketops
I can't believe I never took pics of my cake topper!!! I already sent it to CLM. Basically this woman takes a standard Bride & Groom (one of those small figurines you can get at AC Moore for like $3) and customizes it. She adds baseball caps and pennants if you like, and can customize hair color/length and change the long sleeve dress to strapless or whatever you like. That tacks on the bucks and it seems like she's charging way more than she should- I spent $70 for this tiny thing!
I found about about it through an 05 bride's album (FeliciaDA)- she had a Yankees/Mets cake topper done up!
I'd rather see what you can do- but here's an alternative JUST incase.
