Ok had a shock of my life

I don't know if you guys remember but all of a sudden I couldn't decide if I would have my ceromony in the Hall or at the church but the people from the church wasn't returning my calls. Well yesterday she finally did and I found out that for my wedding day to have my ceromony there would be $1500 can you believe that. I have decided to have the ceromony at the Hall now (outside). I feel releaved but thank God I didn't print out my invitations. My friend is coming over today so that I can do finish the invitation tonight and mail them out. Hopefully I can do it. AAAAHHHHH! Now to find the officiant which I thank you girls for helping me out with as well.

Sorry needed to vent this out because I was just in amazement how much it was going to be.

Wow $1500 to have a ceremony in a church!! That is definately insane!

I think you made the best choice to have it at the hall plus Larkfield is a beautiful place!

Getting married outside has always been my dream, it will be wonderful for you!! And CHEAPER!

You can get St. Patricks Cathedral for less than that!!!

Screw them, get married outside at the hall, plus it's a lot easier having everything in one place!!

We are having ours at the hall, outside too. We will both have beautiful ceremonies...and not for $1500!!!!

Wow-that place looks like an auditorium or a place where they televise things - it is huge. I guess that is why it is so expensive. I am sure wherever you end up having it will be lovely, good luck.

WOW!! did that include anything extra?
our church was $1200, BUT it included flower arrangements on the alter ( they do several ceremonies a day there), the minister, a coordinator, organist, and use of their gardens for pictures... i know we probably still overpaid, but it was a neat log cabin chapel, and whenever i would drive passed it i always wanted my wedding there, so it was the one thign we splurged on...

I know.. I was thinking the same thing. Who would be marrying you in the church - The Pope?

Your ceremony will be beautiful and you guys will be alot richer!!

i know my church is charging me an arm and a leg--nearly 2k after all the costs including rehearsal time & organist fees. PLUS, they changed their policy and told me i MUST use their florist to decorate the church..so now that will be more money!

We're getting married at our hall, and they charged us $595 site fee to get married there. Our reverend (vendor on here) is charging us $500 for the ceremony. And our DJ is doing our ceremony music as well, so we paid a bit more for that (part of a package though). Since we're getting married outside, we're not paying extra for flowers.

$1500 is a LOT, but when you add in all the stuff to do it outside of a church, it can get pricey. It all depends on your preference and pocketbook!

I hear Larkfield is beautiful.
