OK has this happened to anyone else or am I on crack?
I was in Macy's going down the escalator when this family got on. And the daughter looked up and me and smiled. And it was kind of eerie because as I was looking at her, I realized she could pass for my DH's daughter. Same thick red hair, same pale blue eyes, same freckles, same smile. And I almost caught myself welling up at the thought that this could be what our daughter would look like.
I have no idea why I felt like that or why I got emotional about it, especially when I told DH last week I wasn't even sure about kids at all.
What the hell is wrong with me?

Well i havea f eeling that whole experience might have triggered somethig in you...maybe ur motherly instinct is trying to comeout??? who knows I might be wrong, u might have just gotten emotional cuz ur pmsing but I doubt it. I see baby's all the time and I always get sad cuz I want to start a family already
I think u need to do some soulsearching & find out why that experience triggered any emotion at all.

I think that is really sweet Janna!!!!!!!! It isn't crazy either! You're just back from your honeymoon, so take time to figure it out..... you have plenty!

I think it was one of those moments that you'll probably always remember. sounds corny, but it also sounds like it really affected you.
and you never know... this could be the thing to push you more towards wanting kids.

Yeah it sounds like you may want something else. I know a woman who is now 53 and has never had children. She said she would go through moments where she thought she wanted them, but those moments passed. She went thru 2 horrible marriages though, so her perspective on life is a little different then mine. My point is, wait it out. See how you feel 6 months from now. If you find yourself getting those urges and feelings more and more than you know your answer. You'll know what's right for you.
