OK Here is my dilemma- not sure what to do- please help!

OK Here is my dilemma- not sure what to do- please help!

As some of you know, FH has a daughter, who is one of our flower girls.

This dilemma just hit me during the week for some reason. Probably, because we went to see the priest again.

Now- you know it is a sin to have premarrital sex ( ) And our priest already knows we live together, which you can totally tell he is not thrilled with.

Now! How do you handle telling him about FH's daughter???? We really want to include her in the ceremony...but should we tell him, will it make a difference,??

They are so many things running through my head. Any one who has gone through this please share with me!

I have the same problem except I am the one with a kid. We are meeting w/ the priest on Tues. I wasn't sure what to say either. We also wanted to include my son in the ceremony.. Do you have any ideas how to go about it?? FM me details please!

I wish I could help...but I really have no idea what to tell you...sowwy!!!

I'm sure it will work out though...this is not something that is very uncommon.

I don't understand what the priest is going to say about you having a kid? If they aren't going to recognize your kid- would you really want to get married in the church? But seriously- I doubt it will be a problem- they are very lax about the rules these days.

Well atleast at my parish.. they are so happy that you didn't abort the baby... or rush into a marriage you weren't ready for because of a baby.. that it isn't a big deal.

I don't think it should be a problem. My church is pretty open minded about situations like this.

I say don't stress and don't make an issue out of it. As you're discussing your ceremony just casually mention how FH's daughter will be doing xyz....just as MOH will be doing abc.....

When my friend went to the church she told them they already had a baby, and as long as they were willing to raise the child with the church, and that he was alreay baptised they were okay with it.
