ok - heres a vent at 11:52pm but i am dumbfounded by the lack of commonsense

My BBB registry is 31 pages long (when printed) - so theres NOT a lack of things to buy me - and a HUGE price range - so why are people buying me things NOT on my registry and then scanning it? It pops up requested 0 - bought 1.?????????

I mean really....seriously.....i dont get it

I read on a prior post that it scans whatever the person is buying. Was there anything bought from the registry in addition to that item?

assuming other things are being purchased from your registry, they might be buying things for themselves too. it will all scan on (and you can take it off yourself).

we bought 2 things from our registry for ourselves + some other stuff and it all scanned on. we changed the amount to '1 requested 1 received' instead of '0 requested 1 received' so not to encourage people to buy non-registry stuff.

there was a post a while ago about someone buying a candy bar... i'm pretty sure they were buying registry gifts and got hungry, not that they were giving the candy bar too!

it could be people buying things for themselves while they scan your registry.....it happened to me too!

its probobly stuff they bought for themselves and they didnt tell the cashier it wasnt on the registry...this happenes alot....the customer doesnt tell the cashier....or the cashier is to lazy to ask whats on and whats not......

when i first started working there i did it all the time lol people were like....i didnt register for tic tacs!!!!

DAMN - I want those bubble wine glasses!!!

but im always on the registry - like seriously a billion times a day and the bubble glasses are the one new thing so maybe ill get them

they could be for you tho!! they might have thought they were nice and picked them up for you.......i have also found that people wanna buy what THEY LIKE for the couple and dont care about whats on the registry

I went shopping off a BBB registry today and even though everything was for the bride I let them know what I didnt want to be seen on the registry. I thought I would have to pay separately, but the cashier just pressed a button and it never showed up as fulfilled or even bought. It was mostly wishing well stuff or surprise gifts for the basket I am making.

me too i havent had my shower yet and everytime i bring something up on here about it kelly and deb yell at me!!!!!!! lol they tell me to butt out...im not trying to find out anything i dont wanna knwo when it is!! but id like to just see 1 thing come off and ill be happy!!!!!!!! then stop looking. i like when im on here ths late i can chat about showers and not get biched at!!!!!!!!

we had 2 groups of things disappear off of my registry recently (well, a pitcher from C&B and then a few days later some plates/bowls/china protectors from BBB) but we've received them both. belated engagement gifts.

i freaked out because we were adding new things to our registries and didnt expect anything to be moving around for a while. some things we werent sure of yet!
