FH and I have still not decided on a start time for our reception.
Our ceremony is at 11- will end around 12. Then we will head off for pictures, which should be completed by 2ish.
My mom wants to open her house for guests to linger in the in-between hours.
I really dont want to start at two because then we will end too early. I dont want my wedding over at 7pm. We are planning on having an after party at the bar near the hotel but 7ish is too early for that.
I wanted to start at 3pm and end at 8pm but thought the time in between would be too long. Then I was think 2:30....I am jsut up in the air.
What do you girls think?

Re: OK- Here's another question: Timing Poll?
Well I don't have firsthand experience (yet) but we are planning on leaving 3 hours between the end of our ceremony (actually we are having a Mass in church) and the start of our cocktail hour. We figure our receiving line will probably take about 1/2 an hour and the church and reception hall are far apart (half hour with no traffic). So if you have similar circumstances then 3 hours isn't really that long in my opinion.

Nope- see I am not doing a receiving line and probably not a mass- so ceremony will definitely be over by 12. Reception is only about 20 minutes to a half hour away....

I cant- in order to take pictures in the inside of the racetrack we have to get there by 12:30. And that is very important to me..
