Ok, here's what the photojournalist we are interested in is offering us, what do you think?

Ok, so JT and I are NOT using a wedding photographer. It's not our style and we really like this one photojournalist. I just want some outside opinions on what we are getting and for the price.

2500 dollars is the flat rate for the day, no matter how long we need her.
She shoots avg. of 25-31 rolls of film for the day, but there is absolutely no limit on the amount she will shoot. She shoots as many as she sees necessary (25 rolls being min.)
We own ALL proofs and negatives and we get an album for ourselves and two for our parents (to be designed later).
All proofs are 4x6 with a white edge (which I love, so classic looking!)
So what do you girls think? I just need some opinions. I love her work, I just need to know if it seems like a good deal.

Sounds like you are going to get around 600-800 proofs... she's with you all day... that includes the albums??... sounds like a very good deal to me.... Is she only shooting in B/W though? It's fine if that's what you want.... but you might want to ask about color... overall sounds reasonable to me!

It will mostly be B/W, but she will do some color as well.

This sounds very similiar to the deal that I am getting with our photographer.

Sounds like a very good deal to me. I am getting the same as you but am paying $3000.
Just make sure you get good referrals!!

sounds good.. id probably ask for a couple enlargements in addition to the album... were paying around that amount(not guaranteed as many pics as that) but lots of enlargements with our album and 2 parents..

How much would the album be later? What about other pictures? You should think about that before you agree on this price. My sister wound up paying a lot more after all was said and done when she went with a package like that.

Did you search for this photographer here to see if anyone else used them and/or had problems or success?

How many pictures in your album? parents album? Are these included?

That almost sounds to good to be true (IMO).

I think it's a good deal and not too different than what I got after everything. The albums are included, right? Check the references and bbb.org, but if you love the work and it all checks out, I'd do it.

Yes, the albums are included. She is NOT a wedding photographer, and does not normally do weddings, she does work for a few magazines and newspapers. A friend of mine used her and because of that she is going to do our wedding. We don't want any enlargements, and if we decide later that we do want them, we will get them. We're not really into the huge pictures. We like the fact that we will get the negatives because we don't really paln on having 'albumy' albums out on our coffee table. I believe the albums for the parenst are 30 images each.
