OK I AM IN SHOCK RIGHT NOW AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!! LONG I AM STUPID! (updated in a reply)

OK HERE IT GOES.
I JUST READ MY INVITE LIST , I WAS GETTING A GOOD COUNT FOR THE FAVORS RIGHT OK! THE COUNT I GOT WAS NOT RIGHT SO I THOUGHT.. COUNT AGAIN AND YET AGAIN IT WAS STILL COMMING OUT THE SAME. THE PROBLEM, THE COUNT I WAS GETTING WAS WHAT I THOUGHT THE WHOLE TOTAL WAS GOING TO BE BUT IT'S ABOUT HALF. MY COUNT WAS 168. SO I DID A PERSON BY PERSON COUNT. AND MY COUNT WAS 311. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN HOW COME I DID NOT RELIZE THIS SOONER. I AM SCRARED NOW AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! HOW CAN I BE SOOOOOOOOOO STUPID. MY MOM HAS BEEN HANDLING ALOT OF THINGS SO I GUESS WHEN SHE SAID A COUNT I JUST WENT WITH IT EVEN WHEN WE ORDERED THE INVITES THEY WERE FOR DOUBLE THAT AMOUNT DUH ONE INVITE 2 OR MORE AT A HOUSE PER INVITE... OMG I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING TO FAINT NO JOKE I FEEL REAL SCARED RIGHT NOW.. WITH 2 MONTHS TO GO BEFORE THE WEDDING. I REALLY AM NOT ABLE TO HELP OUT WITH THE MONEY PART DUE TO I GOT HURT AT WORK AND I HAD SURGERY AND I WON'T BE GOING BACK TO WORK UNTILL AFTER THE WEDDING. COMP ONLY PAYS YOU SO MUCH AND FH HAS BEEN REALLY DOING GOOD ON KEEPING UP THE HOUSE AND BILLS ... HOW DO I HELP MY MOM OUT AND HOW DO I OMG WHAT AM I GOING TO DO HELP ME...

SHE TYPED UP THE LIST BUT I M NOT SURE IF IT DID NOT REGESTER WITH HER LIKE ME!! WHAT ARE WE TO DO? I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THE HALL THAT WE ARE HAVING IT IN HOLDS THAT MANY? OH GOD I REALLY MESSED THIS ONE UP! WHY CAN'T I DO ANYTHING RIGHT!

THE INVITES ARE DONE BY THE CALLIGRAPHER BUT NOT STUFFED YET. WE ARE GOING TO DO THAT ON TUESDAY... THEN MAIL THEM OUT SOMETIME BETWEEN XMAS AND NEW YEARS. FH WAS SLEEPING WHEN I RELIZED THIS.

You will probably have to cut your list down. Talk to your mother and see how many she can afford, then cut accordingly.

I can understand why you are upset, but since you did not send out your invites yet this is totally fixable- just don't invite so many people!

I AM GOING TO HAVE TO CUT ALOT OF PEOPLE... THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE EASY BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE... I JUST CAN'T BELEIVE HOW STUIPD I FEEL RIGHT NOW HOW MY NERVES ARE SHOT AND I FEEL SO SICK TO MY STOMACH HOW DID I DO THIS, HOW COULD I LET T HIS HAPPEN! OH GOD I CAN'E BELEIVE THIS!

Calm down... this is still very fixable. First find out how many people your mom can afford, then call East Wind and find out how many they hold in your room as their max. Then tackle the list. Everything will fine, I know you are upset, but you are not stupid, you are just stressed from planning your wedding. Take a few deep breaths (hopefully you got some sleep by now) and focus. You'll be FINE!!!

Your mom typed the list, so she might be full aware of the amount of people. The invites did not go out yet so you can cut your list. Its a fixavle thing. take some deep breaths call your mom and talk to her!!

You don't even know the response yet. Some people might not be able to come. If you do the 20% then you are losing 60 people right there. Call East Wind and ask them the amount. I am almost positive you are fine. Then go through the list and cut the first ones that come to mind and then see what happens with the 20% rule

Which hall in East Wind? If its the Country Gardens, they can hold up to 180. The Estate can hold up to about 300 and the Inn can go up to 1000 I think. Give them a call.

You may not like this but what about going to staples, buying some nice (different invites) and writting them out your self in WORD in your comp. i did my E invites and everyone loved them and thought i spent spo much $$$ The best part is that people do not compare the invites sent to thier homes so they really wouldnt know they were different.... Hope this helps

OK I JUST SPOKE TO MY MOM AND SHE SAID SHE DID RELIZE HOW MANY THERE WAS... OMG WHY DID SHE NOT TELL ME, I GUESS BECUASE OF THE WAY I WOULD REACT , WHICH I DID, I GOT VERY SICK LAST NIGHT AND WOKE UP THIS MORNING WITH A SERVER MIGRAIN. I AM STILL SHOOKEN UP ABOUT THIS BUT MY MOM SAID ALOT OF THEM ARE OUT OF STATE AND COUNTRY AND NOT ON COUNTING ON THEM TO COME.. OK LET'S SEE, I AM THE BABY OF THE FAMILY AND FINALLY GETTING MARRIED WHAT DO YOU THINK?

At least your Mom knew about it, and was okay with it. Now that it has been talked about and all cleared up you can try to take a step back and relax a little more. Go get a massage or something to help. Many nail salons offer a 10 minute massage for like $10 or $15. It's not much, but enough to help you relax. Just remember, these things all have ways of working themselves out. The important thing to remember is that when all is said and done you will be married to your wonderful FH, and you will be able to look back at these problems and laugh at how worried you were over nothing.

ok for those who have read all my problems sorry if i am a worry wort but i have some good news and bad news!
good news is the list has come down with the no's comming in! we are down to 272!
the bad news most of the no's we are getting are from fh side and he is getting a little up-set. some are saying it's because this is his second wedding but i don't feel that is a good enough reason.. and others say they have somewhere else to be! i just hope some yes start rolling in for him! i want him to feel it's his wedding too and not just mine! and the worst part is his father might not even come!! he won't show it but i know it is killing him inside! what do you think I can do to help him feel a little better ! i love him so much and i don't know what i can do to make him feel a little better!
