OK, I know I haven't been on for a WHILE, but I'm freaking out a bit

We sent our invites out on Saturday Some ppl called me to tell me they got them, for example, my grandmother in Kew Gardens got them, but two ppl five minutes away in Forest Hills didn't get them. Mind you when I sent the shower invitations they got them on the same day, what is going on???

could be because of the volume of mail from tax time...

that happens all the time to me, dont worry one bit. i sent cards for easter. my cousin who lives 2 blocks from me got hers in 4 days and my brother who lives in new jersey got it the next day, go figure.

don't worry!! i sent my invites out 12 days ago from bayshore, and my sister in east islip just got it today! fil's got theirs in FLORIDA 2 days after i sent them. go figure...

they will arrive

don't worry about that... the mail is screwy sometimes.

A few years ago I sent valentine's to my family... everyone got there's two days later except from my little brother, his showed up the following week. (They were going to the same place)

Dont worry. The mail is weird. People who were in VA got theirs the next day and people in Staten Island didnt.

it depends if it has to get sort after being sorted... example....if you drop them off at a distrubtion center (say garden city or hicksville), you have a better chance of them getting it soon because mail gets sorted as soon as you drop it off... this is different then a regular post office that will drop it off to this sort center, then go out...(thats an extra day alone)
