Ok... I know I was going to stick with the Pt. Jeff CC, but
I found this other place on the internet. It's in N. Massapequa on N. Broadway. It's called Elegante Grand Caterers. From their website, the place looks really nice. They've recently renovated in a black and white Contemporary/Modern Theme. They are available for my date. The really nice room is too big for us, but they have a smaller room that fits 60-125 people. It looks nice. The owners are two brothers and they've been there for 7 years. Has anyone heard of them or did you look at them??? Oh, I forgot, they have a menu that is only $50.00 pp. The 5 hour wedding and bar. What do you guys think??? Thanks again! I know I should stop looking... but $5,000 cheaper would be so helpful.

You should check it out
$5,000 is a lot of money. You need to find a way to have your wedding. This might really also help you have a honeymoon. I know that is very important to you.

Definitely take a look...
Hi Melissa! I agree with Michele. If the place is nice and you can still have a great wedding, then by all means go for it! Please let us know how it turns out. michele

I agree with Michele & Shelby, what's the worst that could happen? You decide you love the place and save 5 grand off your wedding budget!!! Doesnt hurt to check out all the options. Let us know what you decide.

We went to Elegante...and was not impressed. By all means check it out. We ultimately went with PJCC and are set there for November 2002. Good luck!

Would you mind telling me why you weren't impressed??? Was it the people, food, the rooms? I don't know when I'll be able to go there to see it. Were you there recently after the renovations? Thanks!

Ok... I know I was going to stick with the Pt. Jeff CC, but
I went to a wedding there in 1999..I'm not sure if that was before or after the renovations...I think they had about 100 people (I'm not sure which room). It was a nice place. I think it was about 45-50 pp for a buffet (not bad!) Check it out!

The inner rooms were contemporary and I didn't have a good tasting so I cannot attest to the quality of the food. I was not happy with the setting (outdoors). Its on a main street. The outdoors were not well kept. I would think for a Sweet 16 or another celebratory party. I didnt feel like a wedding...just my opinion. I, too, was THRILLED with with website but unfortunately was not as happy after I visited. Good luck. I'd be interested to know what you thought after your visit =)Welcome New Vendors
